If you want to bring your own car you've got a choice of options from a number of ferry routes serving the ports in
Cork (South),
Rosslare (South-East),
Dublin (East) and Larne (North).
Direct ferry services from the continent are offered by
Celtic Link Ferries, Irish Ferries and Britanny ferries all leaving from major ferry ports in France! Driving time from the ports to West Clare is usually between 4 and 6 hours.

Eurolines offers a direct overnight coach service from London to Ennis.
Bus Eireann serves Ennis from major Irish cities with a connecting service to Kilrush and Kilkee.
