OUR FAMILY HAVE SPENT SOME HAPPY TIMES IN THE BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE OF DOONBEG.THE FISHING WAS THE BEST IN THE WORLD,ONLY TROUBLE WE COULD NOT DISPOSE OF THE FISH, THE LOCALS WERE OVERSUPPLIED.HOW FORTUNATE YOU ARE. REGARDS PAT, Australia

I spent time in Doonbeg this past summer. We stayed right in Doonbeg. Great village, great people and wonderful golf. I will come back to Doonbeg I work in a city and the rural atmosphere in Doonbeg is great. Barbara Larkin, Philadelphia, USA

We found Doonbeg quite by accident in 2006 & boy we were blown away with the area & the jazz we couldn't make it last year but hope to return this year. The people in Doonbeg & West Clare were most hospitible, charming, very friendly & helpful so from me Thank you All so Very Much. | I was practically reared in doonbeg.spent 3 months there every year during the summer
when i was a child have great memories of the place.my parents had a mobile home in tuburdys caravan
park.can still remember igoes pub and getting free club milks from mrs igoe.also playing on fitzpatricks
farm all day every day.the white strand was a great beach and often on the way home from there we would call
into the cannings for a sandwich and drink.the donkey derby every aug weekend was another highlight of the
holidays.havent been there in a few years would really enjoy a night out there this summer.i would recommend
doonbeg to any family for a weekend end break or more,a great spot which i hold close to my heart. - rory hennessy, limerick 24/1/2008 |
