All the West of Clare is less than a one-hour-car drive from Shannon Airport, less than 2 hours from Kerry Airport (via the Killimer Car Ferry), less than 3 hours from Cork Airport and Knock Airport and about 3.5 hours from Dublin Airport.
Ryanair gets you to our local airport in Shannon directly from several European airports (these change regularly, so check the Ryanair website for latest information),
as well as Aer Lingus and a number of other airlines on scheduled and charter flights from the UK, the US and Canada...

ferries all leaving from
Cherbourg and Roscoff in France! Driving time from the arrival ports in Rosslare and Cork to West
Clare is usually between 3 and 5 hours.

buses offers a direct overnight coach service from London to Ennis.
Bus
Eireann buses serve Ennis and Shannon Airport from major Irish cities with connecting services to Kilrush, Kilkee, Miltown Malbay and Doonbeg
Citylink buses connect the major airports and Galway, Limerick, Dublin and Cork.
Irish Rail offers several connections a day between Dublin and Limerick/Ennis. The Western Rail Corridor connects Limerick and Galway with stops in Sixmilebridge, Ennis, Gort and Athenry. Look for reduced rates online!
