The West Clare Railway
Famous through the song 'Are ye right there Michael, are ye right!", which was written, 
after a bad experience, by Percy French there's unfortunately not much left of this railway, which was connecting Ennis and Kilkee/Kilrush via Ennistymon and Miltown Malbey between 1887 and 1952. But you can visit the little museum in Moyasta
, halfway between Kilrush and Kilkee for a look at restored carriages and at one of the original locomotive engines!
Horse trekking
Several equestrian / pony trekking and riding centres are well established in the areas and cater for all ages.
